Hello to the crew of Channel Bird News Tower...
First of all, I'd like to say thank you for considering me worthy of media attention! Normally, I'm a shy bird, but when the spotlight does shine on me, I've been known to show off a bit, and hang upside down and swing, or even get up on my swing and put on a show. Especially if the audience is female :D
My reaction to being nominated as king for a day didn't surprise me; as the animal counterpart to Alexander the Great, I'm used to conquering territories in rapid succession. I'm not really as vain as I sound, just used to ruling, if you get my drift. Let's just say a crown fits very comfortably on my head.
My advice to future reigning kings and queens is to enjoy it while it lasts, because power and fame are fleeting, and when all is said and done, true joy is never more than a pistachio nut or a snuggle from the one who loves you best.
