Hey Jerry We're back for more party time! Is it water balloon day? We've now completed the first 1/4 of the building, but it's where most of the action is! In the next section, called the Runs, there are rehab animals getting treatment, and some who will be in the outdoors soon, or in the big flight cage soon as well. This room might contain hawks, vultures, snapping turtles, possums, or whatever needs the space. The pic today is of a couple of goslings who were living in one of the double wide cages, but who have since moved outdoors to the waterfowl area. You'll notice a pond for them, but you don't see Gordy, our education goose, who helped raise them. Mom takes crappy pics, that's why! The cages in the runs were once horse stalls, so that's how wide and long they are, the double ones have had a wall removed to accommodate those animals who need more room. Again, every animal gets fresh everything every day, as well as a clean cage. We hose down or clean out every cage daily. The center is supported strictly by donations, too, so they offer education programs, or like mom is doing this week, the camp during the summer. Hugs and votes to all, and thank you for coming back each day! Willie |
