Hi BeGe
Thanks for coming by with a vote today! As you know from a previous blog, Eastern cottontail rabbits are easily stressed, so would not make good education animals for the center. So, we have Felix and Fletcher, 2 of the biggest bunnies we've ever seen. They weigh in at around 12 or 13 pounds each! They are brothers and came to us from our parent organization, the Animal Rescue League. As you can see, they live a pretty luxurious life at the center, their cage is padded with blankets, they have plenty of fresh fruits and veggies to eat, as well as rabbit food and hay. They get lots of toys, and are very popular on outings. The center is funded strictly by donations from the public, and the occasional grant from a company. Any of the grant organizations which have visited the center are impressed with the cleanliness and the overall good condition of the animals and the building/grounds. Here's a hug and vote for you from me, Willie.
