Giving Desi a visit too. :)
To continue on amazons: Yes they do talk great but like they say there is NO garantee, I love him even if he did not talk. He learnt alot, but it is alot of repeating. I fouund the trick is to say words with alot of emotion and with a tone that excites him and I keep words with the appropiate action then he remembers it better.
For coming out of the cage, he does loves out yes then sometimes he begs to go in it , you it depeneds on mood. He does ok being alone in the cage when I am at work because I got him a huge cage, and I have small tv for him :) They like voices . company for him. As for other birds, I would not now cause he is older .Visually he did ok with a bird that stayed with us short time before, but I would not trust them , if you get one as a baby and start young, then yeah I am sure they get along good. Then again your birds are so small I would be afraid to have them that close together.
Amazons for me turned out to be the best. :) There is a smaller kind of amazon that I would like If I saw one, it is the white fronted amazon, Much smaller than mine and they seem so cute. |
