A hen's cere goes from pink to light blue to brown, usually at about 8 monthes or so. A cock starts pink, the turns purple then goes blue. What color is Chirpy? Sometimes different colors have different cere colors. Caspy is like that- he's a yellow face type two, and so his cere stayed purple. That's so nice of you to get poor little Chirpy a friend and toys and stuff. I've kept eggs for years and they haven't stunk, but I have never broken them either... if I did it would probably be most unpleasent. =P Her coconut sounds adorable! You should put up more pictures of her in it. My lovebird had a little pink tent like that, and he LOVED it. Does she ever stash food in her wing pits? Pip would do that, and it smelled interesting.
