¶’> In the top of the 6th inning …
I guess Da Pois don’t like the idea that the Macaws seem to be pulling up alongside of them, with the Macaws having cut as much as a 6 run lead at one point to currently 3 runs. I guess I wouldn’t either if I were them! And there seems to be a buzz in their dugout as we head into the 6th inning. A buzz that seems to get buzzier as the first batter strikes out! But Comet silences all but the very last of the noise from Da Pois dugout with her Triple. And all it takes is Ollie’s Single to score the 1st run in the 6th for the visitors. Macaws Pitcher Ruby is showing signs of fatigue early in the game today and Walks the next two batters, Gizmo and Sam, to Load the Bases for Da Pois once again. Next up is Hal, whose Double scores Ollie and Gizmo. Then Leah steps up for a Triple to add 2 more runs when Sam and Hal cross the plate off her hit! Calico’s Triple scores Leah! And Kaji’s Triple brings Calico in for 1 more!! And now we’re back to a mere Single from Beaker scoring Kaji, and a break in the intensity for Da Pois. Had Macaw RightField RaneBeau not been on his toes … literally … the next batter’s hit might have been another homer rather than a Fly Out! Comet swats another nice little Single. But she and Beaker are left on base when it’s over with the 3rd and final fly out to turn it over to the Macaws.
Macaws start if off with an Out, just like Da Pois did this time. And Rio tries to get something going with a Single. But great fielding by Pois FirstBaseBird Beaker scoops up a hit for a Ground Out. And Pitcher Hulk throws an easy Strike Out at a very frustrated Macaw batter to close out the inning.

Score After Six Innings: Da Pois ‘N’ Dem 22 – Mighty Macaws 11

In the top of the 7th inning …

First up for Da Pois before the break, Gizmo swats a Single. He doesn’t stay on first base for very long before Sam’s Triple sends him in for the score. Macaw Pitcher Ruby manages to Strike Out the next batter. But all it takes, one more time, is Leah’s Single to plate Sam. Macaws InField snaps up the next pitch for a Ground Out. But pitching allows another Single when Kaji steps up to the plate. Saved by the InField again, the Macaws register the third Out; a Grounder.

It’s time for the 7th Inning Stretch BazeBol Fans and Folks!

Do eggsactly that, and take the time to visit the Concession Stands and take whatever other kinds of breaks you may need. But don’t go far! We’re back here with the rest of today’s Game 1 in The 2011 World Series of Birdie BazeBol!

¶’> In the bottom of the 7th inning …
RaneBeau starts it off after the break for the home team Mighty Macaws with a Single. But after establishing a 13 run lead over their opponents, today’s visitors, Da Pois, are not about to ease up any if they’re smart. And it looks like they’re demonstrating just how smart they intend to be about protecting that lead! Pois Pitcher Hulk Strikes Out the next Macaw up to bat. Catcher Ollie is doing double duty o
