Batter up!!
Ms. Presley gets the 3rd inning off to a good start for the Macaws with a triple, but then Hulk strikes out the next batter, and a grounder is caught by short stop Gizmo who zings it right to first to catch the runner for the 2nd out. Miss Ruby gets on base with a single which scores Ms. Presley, but the final out is a pop up fly right into Catcher Ollie’s glove. And the Macaws head for the outfield.

Miss Ruby strikes out the first batter up for the Pois, and a grounder to Jake in center field is tossed to 1st before the runner can make it for the 2nd out. Ollie finally gets on base for the Pois with a walk, but then he is left standing there all alone when another grounder is the final out for the inning.

Third Inning Score: Macaws 6; Pois 11

After a very serious discussion by Coach Jake with his team, it seems a new spirit has come over the Macaws as they begin the 4th inning. Big Baby steps up to the plate, eye a-pinning, and hits a double, followed up by a single from Jake for birds on 1st and 3rd. RaneBeau then struts up to the batting box and twitches his tail feathers at all the ladies in the stands as if to say “Watch this!”. And indeed they should as he hits a solid HOME RUN right into the stands nearly conking poor Sugar, who puts up her lunch box to protect herself. That’s three runs for the Macaws, and I have a feeling they aren’t done yet. Jasper gets on base with a walk from Hulk who seems a bit rattled by that homer, and then he walks Floop as well for birds on 1st and 2nd. Ms. Presley belts out a triple to score them both. The next batter hits a grounder right to Kaji on 3rd who shoots it on over to 1st for the out, and then a high fly that looks homer bound is caught in the glove of SamIAm who makes a mighty leap to snatch it out of the air. That's 2 outs for the Macaws, but this inning isn’t over yet. Miss Ruby slams out a triple to score Ms. Presley, and then Miss Ruby’s sweetheart, Mr. Rio, brings her on home with a triple of his own. However the party is finally over for this inning, when a frustrated Hulk strikes out the next batter for out #3.

Well, the Pois know they cannot relax after that performance by the Macaws, and Sam steps up to the plate but can only get a single off Miss Ruby. Hal fares better and scores Sam when he hits a triple. Leah then walks for birds on 1st and 3rd. Miss Ruby strikes out the next Poi batter, but when Kaji gets on 1st with a single the bases are fully loaded! Beaker grounds out to RaneBeau in center field but the birdies are able to advance a base and Hal crosses home for the score. However the next grounder is covered by Floop at first, and the runner is out to send the Pois back out to the field leaving Kaji and Leah unfulfilled on 2nd & 3rd.

Pay attention now, Baseball Fans!!! Look at that score!!!!

Fourth Inning Score: Macaws 13; Pois 13
