BIRD TALK’s national sales manager, Louis Brandt, and I are still going through pictures from the Houston Parrot Festival (January 25 to 27, 2008), and here’s one of us “representing” with our new BIRD TALK shirts. You’d have a tough time locating a parrot-themed banner, streamer, tablecloth - or anything else with a parrot on it - in the whole state of Texas after this event; the parrot-party décor took over the entire lower floor of the Houston Airport Hilton. I even overheard one hotel guest ask the front desk if Jimmy Buffet was in town. These “Parrot Heads” however, were dedicated to the real feathered kind.
