Blue Macaws is theme at annual Parrots International Symposium

Parrot convention hosts new Poster Session for groups to highlight studies and/or projects

Parrots International Symposium 2007This year’s Parrots International Symposium takes place April 28 & 29, 2007 at the University of California, Los Angeles. The 2007 theme is “The Year of the Blue Macaws.”

The convention presentations are focused on parrot conservation and field research projects as well as general interest parrot related topics. Presentations also cover general interest topics concerning both wild and companion parrots. This year’s symposium is hosting a formal Poster Session on Saturday to give groups the opportunity to highlight points in their studies and/or projects.

The UCLA Institute of the Environment and the UCLA Center for Tropical Research are co-sponsors of this year’s Symposium.

For more information and a list of speakers for the 2007 Symposium, visit the Parrots International website.
