Earthquakes & Pet Birds

Prepare your pet bird for earthquakes with these pet bird safety tips.

By Nikki Moustaki

Unlike some other natural disasters, earthquakes are sudden and hit with no advanced warning. However, if you live in an “earthquake zone” with your pet birds, you can take steps to be relatively prepared to keep your birds safe. Here are some important avian earthquake safety tips from the experts: Greg Burkett, DVM, owner of The Birdie Boutique in Durham, N.C.; Donna Garrou, owner of birdStuff in Orange, Calif.; and Denise Fleck, pet first-aid instructor, author and owner of Sunny-dog Ink in Los Angeles, Calif.

Interesting article! I hope that everyone's Saturday is going great and I hope that they have a great week! I also hope that they had a great Flag Day! That goes for last year and all the other years that I've missed. I'm sorry that I didn't say anything about this last Saturday, but it lipped my mind. I also hope that they have a great Father's Day! That goes for last year and all the other years that I've missed, as well. I'm also sorry about not commenting sooner, but I received this newsletter too late late and I had to go to bed.
