Bird Jewelry

Love birds? Love jewelry? Check out these bird-themed jewerly pieces.

Jessica Pineda

While it’s not easy wearing jewelry when your parrot is around, here are a few pieces that you’ll want to risk a curious beak for. (But, for your jewelry’s sake, only wear these pieces when your parrot is elsewhere—or give something else to distract your parrot with, such as this birdie bracelet.)

Model Parrot Medallion Pendants

Molded Parrot Medallion Pendants from Alicia’s Creations
Nothing completes an outfit quite like these parrot medallions from Alicia’s Creations, made by artist Alicia Merritt. These beautiful pieces may look heavy, but are actually made from lightweight polymer clay with a colored finish that makes them look like antique gold, pewter or copper. The molds come in several species — African grey, aracari/toucan, cockatiel, caique, conure, cockatoo and Eclectus (with more coming each month) — and only cost $16 each.

For more information about these medallions, go to the Alicia's Creations Etsy shop here.

Sterling Silver Bird Ring from ModernBird
Want a look that's both modern and has that antique charm? Show off your bird flair with this sterling silver ring from ModernBird, crafted by Laura Flavin. Each ring is handcrafted, so no two pieces are alike. For more information about this ring, check out the ModernBird Etsy shop here.

Unique Rare Parrot Kakapo Romantic Victorian Edwardian Bird Art Necklace from ARTdornments
This Unique Rare Parrot Kakapo Romantic Victorian Edwardian Bird Art Necklace from ARTdornments, crafted by artist Alicia Merritt, features one of the rarest parrots in the world, the kakapo. The pendant is made with handsculpted polymer clay frame around the kakapo image, which is set under glass. A bronze finish gives the piece its Victorian look, and three glass beads hang from the bottom. The piece also comes with matching earrings.

There are several other similar pieces that include an Amazon parrot, a pair of African greys and an Eclectus.
