The health benefits of berries are well-known, so the next time you are cutting up fruit, share it with your bird. A mixture of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries, all high in vitamin C, will delight your bird with its variety of colors and textures. The mess they leave from your bird flinging it is another story.

The Berry Bonanza is a mixture of berries your bird will love.

Ingredients
Strawberries
Blackberries
Blueberries
Raspberries
Cranberries
Mix one of each together and serve in your bird’s treat bowl. For added health, place some oat in the mix as well.
While the health benefits of fresh fruit for your bird are well-known, what might not be known is the mental stimulation. Birds like colors (colorful blocks, anyone?), and along with the different textures of the fruits, your bird will have a visually-healthy treat, too.
Thoroughly wash the fruit before serving it to your bird. Serve the fruit in different ways. Cut up the blueberries, but leave a whole strawberry. Or cut up the strawberries, and place the smaller fruits on an unsalted pretzel stick and offer as a foot toy. Be creative! Your bird will love this healthy, colorful dish!
