Join Us At Camp

By Laura Doering

Never in a million years would I have imagined being a recording artist. No doubt about it — I can’t carry a tune. (Perhaps that’s why my duets with Amazon parrots go over so well.) Well, a few weeks ago, we hatched our plan to bring you “Camp Birdie,” the world’s first virtual summer camp for birds and their owners. As part of that plan came the challenge of creating a camp jingle. We did just that, and before we knew it, we were singing our hearts out for a few takes. (We did get to borrow Susan Logan, the Cat Fancy editor, and Leila Lofti, web editor for PetProductNews.com, because they are actually comfortable singing into a microphone.)

Fortunately, we have a really good tech guy who is an accomplished composer and music mixer; so, in the end, we have a catchy song that’s hard to get out of your head. Hear the jingle and sign up for camp here!
