The biggest social dynamic for parrots is the flock. A parrot alone in the wild is rare because they are flock animals by nature. That flock dynamic gives them many benefits: protection, social contact, breeding options, communal foraging and roosting. A parrot in a home setting generally does not enjoy the social opportunity that the wild flocks offer.
