When you take your bird to your avian veterinarian, knowing what your bird eats and how much it eats is vital. This knowledge can answer if a balanced diet is eaten or if changes are needed. Proper nutrition can greatly enhance a bird’s health.
What your bird actually eats can be quite different from what you give your bird. Do you offer your bird a wide variety of foods in a smorgasbord? If so, you shouldn’t. Estimating the amount of each food actually consumed is important to help determine if building-block nutrients are eaten in the right proportions.
