What To Feed

Fulfill your bird’s nutritional needs with the right foods.

Proper nutrition will greatly affect your pet bird's healthWhen you take your bird to your avian veterinarian, knowing what your bird eats and how much it eats is vital. This knowledge can answer if a balanced diet is eaten or if changes are needed. Proper nutrition can greatly enhance a bird’s health.

What your bird actually eats can be quite different from what you give your bird. Do you offer your bird a wide variety of foods in a smorgasbord? If so, you shouldn’t. Estimating the amount of each food actually consumed is important to help determine if building-block nutrients are eaten in the right proportions.
