From the moment we met we bonded. It was truly love at first sight. He picked me out. In 2003 Zorro had his skull crushed in a tragic accident. Though he was blinded, in a coma for days and unable to eat or drink I refused to give up on him. After a month of tube feeding, injections and intensive care he was on his way to recovery. Though he lost almost 30 percent of his skull he is a normal bird now and recovered his full vision along with his other functions. Thanks to plastic sugery you would never guess what he went through. He is free flighted and fully cognitive. The only loss he had permanently was his scream. He is my love, my angel. |
