I own a 22-month-old linnie named Coquí. She is wonderful! She is a quiet bird, but not silent. Linnies have a surprising ability to mimic what they hear. My girl says, “Hi,” at the appropriate times, like when I come into or pass by her room. It always makes me laugh. She does the wolf whistle, makes kissing noises and has created various versions of her contact call.
She likes to play with bells and grapevine toys. She plays well by herself and enjoys hanging upside down like a bat. When she’s in the mood, she will fly over to me and demand attention. My girl is equal parts independent bird and loving companion. Linnies rule!

Linnies are so helpful and cute! They go overboard when it comes to baths. I use a misting bottle to bathe my linnies, and they will contort their bodies, lie on their sides and hang upside down with wings spread just to get soaked completely.
