Spray cleaner: Mix 1 teaspoon borax, 2 tablespoons white vinegar and 2 cups hot water. Mix and fill a spray bottle for an easy multiple-purpose cleanser.
Scouring powder: Place baking soda in a bowl. Dampen a sponge and use it to scoop up some baking powder. Baking soda works great scrubbing down perches and cage bars.
Disinfectant scouring powder: Mix 1 cup baking soda with ¼ cup of borax. Apply the solution with a sponge or brush and then rinse well.

Vinegar mold killer: Use white vinegar to scrub areas with mold. Rinse well.
