Large parrots always seem to elicit the "Wow" response. Stand in any public place (hypothetically, of course) with a budgie on one hand and a macaw on the other, and chances areno one will even notice the budgie. That's not a knock against budgies, but rather a testament to the big presence big parrots seem to exude. Their large size also seems to influence their behavior, because large parrots are often vocal, not afraid to express their likes and dislikes and eem to know that their larger size makes them practically impossible to "ignore," when they wish otherwise. These birds can live upwards of 70 years, and that fact alone warrants continuing education in regard to the needs of your bird.
