I would like to tell you about the hummingbird that has come back every year since 2002. He (and it is a he) sits on the crook outside our southeast window and looks in. He started in 2001 when my husband was laid up with infections in his knees and has been back every year since. He has distinctive vest-like markings on his chest so we can tell it is him. He is also looking a little older. He is still here today (8/26/12) but I guess at age of at least 11 he is entitled to look older.
