Truman the Trick-Trained Cape Parrot Found

"Parrot Wizard” Michael Sazhin’s four-year-old pet and performing bird flew off Monday morning.

Melissa Kauffman

"Truman is doing just fine like nothing even happened,” stated Sazhin on his Trained Parrot Facebook page. Sazhin went on to thank everyone who helped him.

Truman is fully flighted and Sazhin doesn’t plan on trimming his wing feathers, but said he would "take his good fortune with humility and stick to reliable safety measures like a harness for the foreseeable future.” Sazhin ended his post with "Once again thank you, thank you, thank you! Words cannot express the relief, happiness and gratefulness that I feel.”

Bird lovers may know Truman and Sazhin from videos on the Parrot Wizard YouTube channel and public performances. Sazhin’s other performing parrot, Kili the Senegal parrot, has been on” America’s Got Talent” and "The Late Show with David Letterman.”
