I thought it was very real and the person was definitely in grave danger. This owner is obviously a responsible bird owner, with the leash on the African Grey parrot. They are VERY smart birds! One time, I visited my parents unexpectedly. There was a thief inside their house, my parents were away at the time, and the dog came after me, (never biting), but letting me know that I should heed her warning and get out of the house. Her hair was raised, was uncharacteristic of her nature, and she growled at me, but never connected physically with me. Later, my parents returned and so did I. I asked them, "what was up with Inky, the labrador?" They told me that there was an apparent robbery/break-in and there was belongings in the garage waiting to be taken away. AMAZING animals ... have more instinct than some humans. Nothing much gets past them either!
