Dead parrot honors Monty Python by reuters

The infamous "Norwegian Blue" parrot from the Monty Python "Dead Parrot Sketch" was displayed in London this past July as a promotion for what was the final show in a 10-show Monty Python reunion in London.

According to Business Insider, "After fans voted 'Dead Parrot' their favorite Monty Python sketch, the comedy TV channel Gold worked with a team of three sculptors to create a 50-foot-tall statue of the dead Norwegian Blue parrot featured in the sketch."

The "Norwegian Blue" looks a lot like a blue-and-gold macaw, though in the original sketch (seen below), the fake bird in the cage is much, much smaller.

If you saw a giant parrot sculpture on your commute, what would you do?

Thanks so very much. I loved Mnty Python, and I had forgotten about their dead parrot sketch. That was a nice laugh in the morning! And I would totally put the statue in my yard!!! What a hoot!
