The California home of Molly Gleason, a bird enthusiast and realtor, was featured on HGTV’s “Offbeat America” program for its unusual dedication to all things avian. “The whole house is for the birds,” says Gleason during the program. That includes a real tree trunk brought in for some of her birds to decorate, including a toucan, hornbills and macaws, and a closet turned into a roosting spot.
It’s important that I find a way to live with my birds rather than them living with me, Gleason commented to the interviewer.

The segment first aired in October, but continues to periodically run. Gleason has since moved to the Seattle area where she built a new 3,000-square-foot aviary next to the house, but birds still enjoy the indoor life, too, she said.
