2007 Houston Parrot Festival

The NPRPF's Houston Parrot Festival takes place January 26 to 28, 2007.

National Parrot Rescue & Preservation FoundationThis year’s National Parrot Rescue & Preservation Foundation (NPRPF)’s Houston Parrot Festival, taking place January 26 to 28, 2007, features a new hotel and  festival director.

The Doubletree Hotel (281-848-4000) at Intercontinental Airport will play host to the annual festival. It offers additional space, a free airport shuttle and free parking. A discounted rate of $95 per night is available through January 4, 2007 or until the group block sells out.

After Brenda Adams stepped down, Cheryl Rose took over the Festival Director position. Rose is also  NPRPF’s secretary.

The three-day festival includes a lecture series, a vendor hall and the Party in Parrot-Dise VIP Meet & Greet. This year’s speaker lineup includes: avian behavioral consultant Sally Blanchard, Dr. Donald Brightsmith, Dr. James Gilardi, Dick Schroeder, Dr. Mark Stafford, Natalie Antinoff, DVM, Dipl. ABVP and others.
