Amazona Society Appoints New Pres.

Shari Beaudion appointed as President of the Amazona Society.

Amazona SocietyAfter 11 years as president of the Amazona Society, Diana Holloway, retired from her position this August. Holloway was a member of the club since 1984. Incoming president, Shari Beaudoin, appointed by Holloway, has been a member for five years and previously acted as the group’s Minnesota advisor. Beaudoin is also co-owner of Parrot Island (www.parrotislandinc.com).

Beaudoin said she hopes to maintain the group’s focus on education and the preservation of both wild and captive-bred Amazons. “I plan to continue the excellent work already being done by the Amazona Society and its outgoing president, Diana Holloway,” Beaudoin said.

The Amazona Society is an all-volunteer group. For more information about the club, visit www.amazonasociety.org.
