Parrot lovers in Southern California have gotten used to the entertaining, delightful seminars put on by Parrot Education and Adoption Center (PEAC) in San Diego. This year it will be double the treat, as the event lasts for two days and the speakers are exceptional. Mark your calendar for November 11 to 12, 2000. Speakers include Dr. Irene Pepperberg on the study of avian intelligence, parrot behaviorists Layne Dicker, Phoebe Linden, and Liz Wilson, Mike Schindlinger about the vocalizations of Amazon parrots in the wild, parrot adoption director Bonnie Kenk of PEAC and sanctuary director Sybil Erden of The Oasis, as well as artist/conservationist Eric Peake. Veterinarians Garry Wallen and "Birds for Dummies" author Brian Speer will also be speaking. This is a stellar lineup and a conference not to be missed!
