Online network launches a pet-sitting division to expand its service to the pet industry

By Rose Gordon

Sittercity offers pet-sitting divisionSittercity, an online network that pairs baby-sitters with parents, launched a pet-sitting division June 1. Feedback from clients, focus study groups and other data, led the company to expand into the pet industry, said Bethany Sirt, a company spokesperson.

Searchable by zip code, users will be able to choose from 150,000 pet sitters.

Registration for sitters is free while pet owners pay $7.99 per month for an annual membership or $39.99 for a temporary membership. Those already registered can search for a pet sitter at no additional cost.

Visit the Sittercity website for more information.

That's so awesome! Most good owners treat their birds as if they were their children, so it only makes perfect sense that this should stem from normal childcare services!
