Nanday Conures are known for being water lovers, sometimes jumping into the shower or bath with their human companions. Because these pet birds enjoy the water, it is important for owners to beware of any open fish tanks, toilets, sinks or bathtubs filled with water, which could become hazardous areas for the nanday conure. Keep your pet bird entertained with interaction outside of the cage to avoid excessive chewing of toys, perches or nestboxes. Plenty of interaction with a nanday conure will also reduce its noise level.
