Slender-Billed Corella Species Profile
Traits:  The slender-billed corella is an intelligent, entertaining bird. It can mimic words, sentences and other sounds (such as a dog barking or their owner's laughter) to perfection. The slender-billed corella generally a docile species but nonetheless demand a structured focussed attention from their owners in order to prevent destructive behavior. Slender-billed corellas can be playful, friendly and curious and are very active.

Behavior/Health Concerns:  Slender-billed corellas require large cages to accommodate their need for movement and exercise. Because slender-billed corella love to spend time with their owners, a playstand is a wise investment so that the pet bird can be moved from room to room to be near their pet bird owner. Slender-billed corellas have a tendency to gain weight, it is important to monitor the fat intake in their diet, as well as to allow them plenty of opportunity for exercise. Although they are affectionate, a slender-billed corella’s beak is nonetheless very strong and a bite can cause serious damage, so proper behavioral training is essential.
