VIDEO: Lovebird With No Legs Lives Life To The Fullest

Sometimes you meet a family and a bird that you can't help but be inspired by.

Peaches, a peach-faced lovebird, doesn't have any legs, which means she needs certain accommodations from her family, and they readily step up to provide. My favorite part of this video (besides Peaches herself), is the bird cage setup, which enables this active little lovebird to move around easily from her the door to the water bowl. Peaches' is also fully-flighted, and can take off to visit her family whenever she likes.

I'm glad Peaches is being well looked after.
I have a bird who is genetically abnormal - he's very little, has funny feathers, can't fly and walks badly. He seems to have some brain damage and doesn't know where his feet are. He keeps face-planting. He has his own little castle with places he can climb and perch. He sleeps in a D cup overnight to be up high with the other birds (he falls off his perch because he can't perch all night).
He's very loved.

Very sweet! I have a scaly breasted lory that is blind and can't walk upright. She scoots around the cage and knows where everything is. She talks and bathes and nd plays with her toys like any other lory. She even comes to me (most of the time) when I call her! She has an identical cage set up at at friend's house and goes there during the day while I am working.
