Today's seed diets can come with a mixture of things, such as nuts, dried corn and fruit and pellets.

All-seed diet: (noun) A daily diet of various seeds, typically from commercially sold seed diets. It was the only kind of diet commercially available for the pet bird many years ago. Now a balanced and varied diet is typically recommended including a small amount of seed, a base diet of pellets and occasional vegetables, fruits and table foods. An avian vet should be consulted to find the right diet for a specific bird, based on its age, weight, health and species.
