Normally bright-colored birds can display depigmented feathers for several reasons.

Depigmented feathers: (noun) Feathers that look like they have dirty or blackened patches. These feathers should have molted out and can be due to being handled often, the bird playing hard or metabolic problems, malnutrition or incorrect photoperiod.
