 My wife and I were looking to add an Amazon to our household and so we looked up breeders and we narrowed it down to a Green Cheek or a Double Yellow Head.We contacted Manon of Wing Span Aviaries in Cary Nc and asked her if she had raised any of the following birds she said no she raised Yellow Napes and Blue Fronts and she mentioned that she had just had an egg hatch from one of the Blue Fronts
and inquired as to if we would like to come up and visit her when the Baby was ready to be seen by us. We agreed and we drove 4 hours to see the baby .We fell in Love with the blue Front as soon as we had laid eyes on this Beautiful creature that God had created.We then went home and discussed making her an addition to our family
We both agreed to call Manon back and tell her we wanted this Beautiful Baby .We went up and visited Steve as we were going to name him.When we were called to pick up Steve. Manon had told us that the DNA tests came back and he was a she.She asked us if we wanted only a male by this time we had fallen in Lovewith the bird .We said we wanted her regardless.When my wife Teresa and I went up to pick her up she was so Beautiful
We named her Aestiva as a result of this.After picking her up we took her to Dr. Burkett a very impressive vet who told that she was a very Beautiful, well mannered,
Wonderfully feathered and in excellent health.
when we took her home she had to get familiar with us and she immediately bonded to us.(Born on June 10th) 2006.
At 4 months she began talking and has not stopped since. She says I Love You,Hello,Where you going,what,bye bye,Mommy,yum yum,barks like the dog,meows and we do not own a cat,imitates the phone ringtone,what ya doin,whew whew,clucks like chicken,laughs like Curly Howard of three stooges. |

Don't know how I miss this cute bird. I only noticed her on the blue-fronted list. SHE is SO cute! I LOVE HER baby photo aw :) Wish I had one of my blue-fronted amazon. I got him when he was one and do not know of his true past except the pet shop told me he was brought in the day before by a woman who said she did not want him anywmore at one year old. I have had him 9 years almost and He is the love of my life and NO way would I give him up to anything or for anyone . I'd livein the woods in a tent if I had to if it came to that. He is my forever bird and YES like you said GODS creature. I love him.
