 During a convention in Hawaii, I saw and held my first parrot. Cockatoo. My husband asked what I wanted for Christmas and I said a cockatoo. Back then they were around $2,500, so I settled for a DYH. He was on consignment in a bird store and picked me. He still loves me after 28 years, but loves his mate Foxey more. If I take him away from her, I am his best love and can do anything with him. They give me 2 babies every Spring and are in the sunroom.. |

I am sorry to hear about your horrid misfortune with the Hurricanes hitting you. My parents lived in Fl. and moved back here just in time. then they bought me.
I think I get to go back to Florida now..
But I am fearful of those hurricanes as I heard so much about them.

Dear Chip, I have met your pal Zulu, but I came to see you today, and I got to vote for you and lots of my other friends, too. A member of the family had a double yellow head years ago, but unfortunately his wife did not like him, so he lived in a cold basement and did not enjoy a long life due to that. It looks like you are a sweety. Do you get a chicken bone now and then, or does Zulu grab all of them? We are having an ice storm today, hope the electricity stays on! Hi!! So sorry you lost your home in the flooding, but it's GREAT you and your family were able to stay together.
I like the computer too, but I usually just watch my mommy using it AND sometimes I'll run down her arm, pop a key off the keyboard and then run all around the top of the computer desk trying to avoid her when she's trying to get it back. I know she doesn't like it much when I do that BUT she just laughs and laughs!Come visit me, Sunny.

I dont have a band and my older owner can't remember how long she's had me or howlong the one before that had me, where she got me or even how many homes i had. She rescued me in september, while she was living in upstate ny. then her and my daddy decided to make new orleans there new home. the weather here is much better then up there. i hope all is going well with you.Come visit me, Chester.

They are big amazons compared to my blue front. Well Chip is still pretty active, sure cute. yeah Zazoo is quite the clown. He gets the spaghetti and mash potatoes all over the walls when he shakes that food off his beak, hee hee. And welcome to the site. YOu are so smart to be able to change windows on computer. I am sad that you and the whole family had to live in a camper after the hurricanes, but looks like you made it. We had a few hurricanes here in 2004 in Florida, and that was nothing compared to what you must of gone through.
Sorry you had to go through that. Hope things are better for you all now. I LOVE you nickname!
