Hi Keebler. I am a mini-macaw too. The only Illiger's momma has seen in real life was in a breeding place. That Illiger's was paired with a Severe (like me). You sound like my kind of bird. Hello PJ & Max I am part of the group of Mini Macaws not sure how familiar you are with macaws but there are several kinds of mini macaws Severes, Illigers, Yellow Collards, Hahns and Nobles...I am actually just a bit smaller than a Severe alot of people think I am a severe except I don't have the facial skin patch that they do...Mini Macaws are great as we have all the personality of the big macaws but come in a smaller package and don't need near quite as much room as as big of a cage as they need don't let our size fool ya. what a day today I had a busy day I took down all my toys, chewed up my wiffle ball toy and soaked the bell and large plastic bead that was on it..and threw the rest on the floor of my cage..daddy changed my cage papers today crazy man doesn't he realize he is just gonna have to do it again tomarrow oh well he seems to satisfied after he changes the paper and and says he needs to teach me to change my own papers and clean my own cage Ha what fun would that be I have more fun watching him do it and I laugh at him the whole time silly human but then what would us birdies do without our human slave... Hey Keebler! I'm not familiar with your species, but your are one good-looking bird and apparently pretty rare since there are no others on here!! You sound like a big clown, just like me.
