How are you doing? What's the latest? Please catch me up!
I'm hanging in there. I've got my collar back on, am getting weekly antibiotic shots for a heart infection, and am on high blood pressure meds . . . but otherwise, things are fine! (How's that for optimism?) Seriously, I'm getting really good medical attention and I've got a doting, loving mom. I'm lucky, at least in that regard.
I've been nominated for BOTD for Friday, which means I'll need some votes tomorrow. Would you mind casting one for me? I'd love to have my day in the sun. Thanks!

Hi Chicklet, Thank you for coming by my page. Sorry I've not come by earlier but I've been getting use to my new family and we've been traveling all over the country.
You are very pretty.
I am still learning to drive, but "I think I'm pretty good".
As far as getting out of my cage, my daddy learned how smart our kind was right away and now uses a pad lock. But I don't have to go in too much because I have not ventured enough to play with the things I'm not suppose to yet. I'm sure that time will come because the temptations are just more than I can bare.

Yes its very hard to let the baby go..thats what moms says,tomorrow she has to let one of the baby go.she is weaned..the three babys that she hand feed are not hers,and one is ready to go,the other two ..well lets just say they are close to three months old and not close to being wean!! mommy lets them wean them selves no time limit,they have food ,millet and cherrios in there box but they choose to have the baby food..
but her friend has a new baby for mommy to take home, so tomorrow losing one and getting a new baby..
as for any babys that mommy birds had LOL she has keeped them so far..mommy is still getting her flock,with differnt blood lines..

This is Lady,sorry I didnt write back sooner,mommy been really busy.mommy is learning how to breed cockatails,she has a friend that is teaching her about colors,and genes,what color makes the fancy babys its just a hobby for mommy ,sometimes she lets me on her shoulder to watch her feed the babys birds,LOL then she will give me some baby food and its soooo good it reminds me when i was a baby...
her friend will send over her baby birds for mommy to feed,not just feed but give them lots of love,and teach them to step up and pet them every where on their body ..this helps mom because our golden reteiver died about 8 months ago and mommy is still sad about it.but feeding the babys help her laugh alot.she says one day she is getting another golden they are the best dogs you can have she says,hehehe but between me and you,i have to train the dog, like i did with shelby,if i am out dont go near mommy!!!! she is mine,i would chase shelby into the master bedroom untill its time for bedtime .shelby would let the cockatails sleep with her on the floor and let them play with her food untill they are done then she will eat her dog food,shelby really loved the cockatails,but she knew that when i am out she stays away from mom.
my human sister that i love sooo much,got married and moved away ,she is back home at the moment her husband is in the navy,and mommy is going to be a grandmother,in jan.09 its going to be a girl..i cant wait.i love kids,this means that i can scream with them and not get into trouble hehehe
will i gotta go,mommy hears five baby bird yelling for food,they can get so loud!!

Thanks for the compliments. I try to stay happy. My parents love sweet potatos. Dad puts butter and cinnamon sugar on them. We dont get the extras on ours. I am a pretty picky eater. Thanks for coming to visit me! I am rather dusty, but I hate water! I only take a bath if dad puts water on the bottom of my cage and then runs the vaccuum! I am weird. Hi Merlina. Here is a vote for you. Nice to hear from you. I too like to shake my butt feathers especially when my mommy gets me all wet. She too thinks I look like a duck doing that. I was told that the reason for hiding of the bottom beak is because I'm either cold or happy. I do that all the time especailly when I'm very happy that mommy is paying attention to me or just the fact that she is in the same room as me. I like to chase daddy around the house on the floor. He thinks that I waddle like a duck too. But I just do it because everyone at the house likes it when I shase them around the house. Its lots of fun. How's it going?
Hi Merlina,
I hope that you're having a great day. It finally got warm enough here so that I could go outside with mom for awhile. I don't know why, but the birds that live outside by my house like to make a lot of noise, but when I join in on their music, they all quit singing. I guess they must just like listening to me sing.
My brothers and sister don't like going out, so it's a good time for me to spend alone with mom. Mom is thinking of bringing an Umbrella into the family. He doesn't like his mom anymore and recently bit his skin sister pretty bad. I'll let you know more if it happens.
Well, I gotta fly. It's dinner time and mom has mashed potatoes and carrots for me. YUM. Take care and I'll swing by soon.

I was going through some of my old messages and noticed one from you. I then realized that I never wrote back to you. What a bad thing to do. I hope you forgive me for that mistake, because us 'toos have to stick together.
I live with 2 Goffins, who are OK, but not my favorites,
and a Senegal. Sam, is my best buddy. We groom each other and talk back and forth. He's even picking up some of my calls. I think it's really cute, but mom doesn't, especially when she's trying to sleep in after a long night.
