It's good to hear you got Ricky from a rescue. I don't know much about sengals but my cockatiel would bit try to bite when we first got him. It took him several months before he warmed up to us and would allow us to pick him up. He could just need more time getting to know you. It could also have a lot to do with his past. I would ask the rescue if they know anything about his past. Also I found out that my cockatiel does not like fingers, so when picking him up and holding him we have to use our wrist to avoid being bitten. Hope some of this helps. Question for Senagal owners...
Our Senagal is an unpredictable nipper. He will be happily sitting on a finger & then all of a sudden chomp down on our hand. We've resorted to only holding him with a glove on. He doesn't give any warning signs when he's about to "attack". Anyone else dealt with this?Come visit me, Ricky, Reba, Jerry & Simon.
