I was looking to purchase another bird to keep our cockatiel company and decided on a Pacific Parrotlet. We went to the breeder's home and had our pick of the entire clutch. Originally, I had been set on getting a male, but as soon as we sat down, Harlow Jade jumped right up on my husband's finger and didn't move the whole time we were there. The baby parrotlets were all so energetic (and a bit nippy), but Harlow was content to just perch on us and it totally won us over! Make no mistake though - she is a force to be reckoned with! I have never seen a bird with so much energy! Her appetite rivals a macaw's and she is quite feisty..

Active within 1523 Days Hi! My name is Harlow Jade I am a Pacific Parrotlet from Islip, NY. "Jade," "Trouble Maker,", "Fearless" 4 years old F Pacific Parrotlet I am very adventurous with new foods and will try almost everything. I love to shred carrots and broccoli and the occasional seed treat keeps me busy for hours! On my swing, on the floor (as I'm playing fetch), and hanging out with my owner. I hate it when other birds come too close to my cage or try to play with my toys. I'm the boss of the house despite my small size, I have a big beak and I know how to use it! I love how my owner always includes me in whatever she's doing - even if I'm just sitting on her shoulder while she's on the computer. She's always up for a game of fetch and makes sure I have tons of great toys to keep me busy while she's at work during the day. I am an acrobat and love swinging upside down from my cage! I love to play fetch and can do a number of tricks.People joke that I am a dog in a parrot's body! I am super sweet and love to be cuddled. Unlike most parrots, I love to have my beak rubbed by my owner.. It's not the size of a bird that matters - it's the size of the beak!.

Hi from Gingus! I think I know pretty much what you are like--a lot like my sister! She's a lovebird & boy do I stay out of her way. She's little but she sure doesn't know it. Mom says she was lots of fun when she was younger but she is 14 now & doesn't like to be bothered--and let's you know it! Now me, I LOVE to play. My new favorite game is typing. I like to crawl into the cave mom's fingers make when she is on the keyboard. All you can see of me is my tail sticking out between her two hands. Such fun! Any way, thanks for the vote. You are hereby invited... ...to the engagement party of Buddy (Male Blue Parakeet age 2) and Daisy Mae (Female Cockatiel age 1 one Dec 7th). This party will be held on January 5th, which is National Bird Day. There will be bird seed, sunflower wine, and fruit served.
