 While shopping for supplies for my budgie, I wandered past the birds and saw Bitey staring inquisitivly down at the food in my hands. She was so cute and charming, I knew she had to come home with me.I love my Bitey-girl to bits and she has blossomed into a most well-mannered bird.. |

Hi! My name is Bitey McBiterson
I am a Cockatiel from Modesto, CA.

Food. Er... I like millet sprays too.
 In my cage, on mom's chest nibbling on her zipper, the playgym, Wasabi's cage
 When mom doesn't feed me right away, Having to wear my birdy harness/diaper when she takes me out to visit her work (I have to remember that if I wear it,I get to go with mommy), landing on the livingroom floor any time I try and fly somewhere, my fuzzy brother with claws...
 She feeds me good stuff all the time, and seems to really enjoy having me around. She even takes me on fun car trips now and I get to go to work with her sometimes!
 I'm pretty relaxed and don't have too many odd habits besides wanting to nibble on any zipper I see. I do know a couple of tricks, though, and mom seems to like those. I can shake, and I make a cute whistling noise when someone says Bitey or Chicken..
 "If you can't eat it, shovel it out of the food dish with your head!".

Tweety needs your votes for her poem. Her foot had to be amputated Feb. 26th due to the main blood supply being cut in her leg. We had to separate her from her cage mate. I wanted to get her a big cage to move (fly around) in and after paying 258.00 for her leg to become amputated we could not afford to buy her the cage of her dreams. Boy your mom comes up with some cute names! You're a pretty 'tiel too! Mom has 2 tiels that she rescued (they don't have a blog yet) and is still trying to work with them. She's gotten as far as being able to put her hands in the cage with a treat offering....but they sure do flutter when she tries to get them out. I guess they'll come around in time....of course, the more they stay in there, the more attention I get! Anyway, welcome to the 'channel'.
