 For the first 10 years of my life I had a really hard time. My owner had a lot of cats and they would jump on the top of my cage and FREAK me out. I became Neurotic and pulled out my feathers and even ate my nails. My feathers are now growing back and so are my nails. It was hard to hang onto my pearch without them. I Hit the jackpot!!!!!! with my new Mommy. NO CATS :). |

Sorry to hear About Angels' (Mommy) passing away. We have lost many friends and family to cancer, that is really hard. Sounds like Angel is being well cared for at the sanctuary. sad news
I'm sorry to report that my friend who is Angel's mommy died on June 11th 2007. She had been battling cancer for many years. She leaves behind her husband Tim and 3 year old boy Jacob. Remember them in your prayers. As for Angel, she was taken to a bird sanctuary where she will have lots of other birdie friends. So far, I've called every day to find out how she's doing. The guy that runs the sanctuary says she's doing good and she has made one friend, another sulphur crested cockatoo just like her. She is soooo sweet! I also have the option of visiting her as long as I call ahead. Send warm thoughts to Angel as well, she loved her mommy as you can see in the pictures below.Come visit me, Careto, Sunny, Ray-Ray, In memory of Travieso & Tweety.

Hi Angel you are very pretty but Sulphur-Crested Cockatoos make me so mad . Where I live they come and visit my garden and sit on the other side of my window , this makes me get mad at them and I yell " Stop that " at them .

Hi Angel! Angel is our friend. Our mommies are really good friends too. Angel is so sweet. Even though she had bad experiences in the past, she kept her sweetness and gentle ways. I'm happy to meet you, I am a 6 year old female Umbrella, I'm the Queen of the flock which consists of myself, Carmine (a 4 year old Goffin), BellaGG (a two year old African Grey) and finally Vito (a 1 year old White Bellied Caique). I'm also glad they cleared up the cat problem, here it's just birds.

Welcome. You certainly are an angel and I am so happy you got out of that previous situation! That is awful. Sorry you had to go through that. Anger management aw :) cute hahahah Well with time Angel you will learn to trust again and I know what you mean about them little humans , I had to live with some before And they encouraged me to scream and they would purposefully put toys near my cage that I was afraid of. My Mommy had to have me there until she could find a place to get me back ,long story. Even though I did not have it as bad as you did, I know what is like .
