I see your family loves lory parrots too! My mom loves us the most. She has me and Meko. We just lost our red lory in Oct and her son lost a Duyvenbode lory a few years back. I make mom laugh by kissing her and saying aaaaahhhh after. Here is a vote for a pretty girl. You're So Preeety!
Charlie Too here. I been a baaad bird today. Haaaa haaa. I went on to the armchair cos I was trying to get to the hazelnuts ya see, and I threw everything on the floor, including my mum's jacket and a whole lotta new clothes that she bought. Ha ha...everything. Then I went back in da cage and had a bath in my water bowl and made eveeything wet. Momma was not pleased and squacked at me. But hey, I'm a Too, right? And when she saw my cute little choochie face, she melted, so she picked me up for a cuddle and I made her all wet cos I flapped my wings. Momma got well mad!!!! ha ha ha ha. Mom gives us eggs and stress formulas along with our reg. food hoping that when we lay our eggs (which are blue) they will be strong. She hopes we accept the nests this year so we don't lose our eggs this year. Don't worry, Mom will be sure to let EVERYONE know about any nests/young we have this year. hahaha

We are Orange Weaver finches. As you could see by the one picture we do weave! We girls decide if the nests are good enough tho and if it isn't we make them build us another! Hey, we want a nice sturdy nest for our young! Although none of us has produced YET we have been able to tear down a few nests the guys have made. Sure is fun!
Mom hasn't seen any Java's for real...only pictures of them. Were they hard to breed? We are! We have to have perfect conditions or we won't! Mom calls Zebra's the guppies of the bird world! Thought your mom might like that one. hehehe
