 New Bird for Mommy since Jade became a Daddy's girl!
Jade was supposed to be mommy and daddy's bird, but she bonded almost entirely with daddy and is running away from mommy and trying to bite mommy most of the time, so daddy helped mommy find a birdy (me) in need of a new forever home who can bond with mommy. Daddy is only spending time with me when he absolutely has too - like to get me off of the back of mommy's neck after I told her I wanted to stay by nipping her finger... but mostly I get to visit with mommy and not daddy.
Hopefully I will be coming home to my forever home by Valentines Day - depends on how soon mom and dad can pay me off due to the holiday work schedule affecting daddy's paychecks in January.. |

I can't believe - I finally see a blog from you. i was wondering how you and Jade are doing. None of us have heard from you and you were one who helped me to get in as BOTM. I will never forget that! I hope you are home now and doing well. Let me know... everything! i have put on weight. I am over 420 grams now, which is alot since I came to Mom weighing only 380. She teases me, saying I am getting fat. She also showed me myself in the morror, and from what I can see I look pretty good. My feathers are coming in nice and shiny - not hat awful dull look I had before. Thank you for coming by to vote for me. Mom still has her cold and even so she went dancing tonight. She said it makes her feel better. Now, she is sitting qietly and taking it easy and being my secretary. She did say she wants to get to bed early but I have blogs to write. Pepper did something. He can fly and he landed on the kitchen counter where his favorite spot is - the breadbox. Mom keeps chains and other things to make toys with, and Pepper loves to drop them on the floor. Well, the breadbox is a roll top box so Pepper opened it enough to get his head in it, and he started dropping things one by one, saying oops each time. Mom was laughing, but it got funnier. The box closed a bit, knocking Pepper on the head. Pepper looked at Mom and said OW and well, you can imaging Mom cracking up. Mom managed to tell Pepper it serves him right. Pepper proved to Mom who it served right. He emptied the breadbox and laughed at mom. Well... see you later. Thanks for all your votes and support and for coming by to see me even though I have not been bloggins every day since mom's skin grandkid was hatch... ummm born. I sure hope you get out of the store soon and go home. The baby is doing well and finally went home yesterday after staying at the hospital for just over a week. mom had the skin grandson here and took him to meet up with the family and they all went home together. Mom took a ton of pictures and she also held the baby and had some pictures taken of her. She is relieved - now hopefully she can get back her own life and so can we. Yesterday she did a really fast cleaning job on our cages, just so she could spend time with us. She gave us some special treats and the best was - she ordered some Chinese food for supper and we all got some. This is the first time I ever had it and was not sure what to try first but I sure enjoyed it. I am so sorry for writing another generic blog here. Mom is trying to do too much and is exhausted. Since the baby was born, Mom is going to visit her daughter and the baby at the hospital almost every day. She told me to tell every birdie that the skin baby is doing well, that she is not in that incubator anymore, but is in a little baby crib. Sometimes she needs the overhead warming lights on but most of the time she is doing good on her own. She is eating well for being a premature baby, and Mom and daughter hope they get to go home soon. Tonight Mom dragged herself out in the snowstorm to go dancing. She said she felt she needed it, to do something just for her. When she came home, she took me out of my cage and brought me downstairs to the computer room, along with a snack she prepared to eat. She said we are going to do some serious blogging so… I want to thank you so much for voting for me. This month is going by so fast. Mom told me it is the shortest month in the entire year. I wanted to tell her that spring will come faster with shorter months but I don’t know if it works that way. I know I want to go outside and see what it is all about. Mom showed me a picture of the bird mobile and told me we go for walks in the hot weather. That sounds like fun. I think I would like to fly, like Pepper but Mom said we wear harnesses and leashes when we are outdoors. Good morning, Topper ~
I know where you are....that's where mom got my cage. She hasn't been to the store since they moved there. Her & dad picked the cage up (before my time) when they were in between buildings. I told mom she's going to have to stop next time she's up that way - get me a new toy. Has your mom gone to the bird store in Tomball called "Feathered Affair"? They have a neat outside aviary - too big for just me, but would love to have one like it. Thanks for coming by to vote for me. It was a very wild day here. mom had to rush TiPaul to the vet again. He had a tiny blood feather that bled a little the other day and when Mm tried ti find it of course she found nothing. Today it bled again so off to the vet they went... and they came back just over an hour later with a much happier bird. TiPaul is starting to show signs of growing a tail (again) but of course it might not last. Anyhow, we had an early supper because Mom was tired but she also wanted to get started on the team pictures for the baseball teams. It is alot of work for her, but she enjoys it. Well, see you soon. VOTE4U, Hi Honey, What are you up to today? You are just the cutest!!! I love visiting all my BBFF's! I have been squealing all week, driving mom & Dad crazy! Louie & I got to go bye-bye in the car today "running errands", Mom said but 1st stop was the birdie Vet. We both got our nails done but I was expecting red polish, too, hmmm? Then we stopped by the dry cleaner to visit the owner cause she loves pets & she has met Louie before but not me and you know this week is all about me!!!
