My husband and I were in a pet store purchasing crickets for our gecko and stopped to look at the birds. We were standing there talking about acquiring a bird again and was overheard by another lady who was in the store. She stated her fiance had an African Grey that they needed to get rid of as his father had passed away (his father is who had the bird) and her kids were being too noisy and mean to the bird. To make a long story short, a price was offered that we could afford and we are now owned by Shakesphere..

Active within 1581 Days Hi! My name is Shakesphere I am an African Grey from Edgewood, WA. There are a few but probably none that can be put on this web site!! LOL 4 years old F African Grey Shakesphere loves mandarin oranges, peanuts, carrots, peanuts, apples, peanuts and nutriberries. ..did I mention peanuts??? Shakesphere enjoys being in the kitchen when Mommy is cooking and also enjoys being on Mommy's shoulder when she first gets up in the morning or when she is sitting at the computer. She spends a great deal of her time on the play station on top of her cage. Shakesphere enjoys sitting in front of the microwave when Mommy is on her computer. Shakesphere often complains when her Mommy wants to cuddle and she doesn't or just wants to give her attention and she is not in the mood. She also hates it when someone sneaks up behind her. I now have full run of the home I am in and am no longer a caged bird. My Mommy has never closed the cage door and my Daddy has even put a ladder on my cage going down to the floor so I have ease of access to walk around. How cool is all of that??? I would have to say that Shakesphere has the habit of trying to nip the ferret on the nose. She enjoys sitting on the cat's back also! She is always trying to rip Mommy's glasses off her face, too! Shakesphere loves to talk or whistle up a storm when the vacuum is running. Shakesphere sometimes uses Daddy as a transporation device to get to Daddy.. My Mommy does not own me...I own my Mommy!!!.

Hi Shakesphere Mom was running the sweeper and I was begging to be sprayed so that is how mom got that picture of me. Thanks so much for the compliments on it. Oh yea there were deletes on the camera too mom says hihihi. Today was suppose to be bath day for Chi chi but she wouldn’t take it for some reason. Mom kept asking her “you take a bath yet?” so I asked her once too but wouldn’t say it any more after that. I thought I better not pressure her hihihi. Really I didn’t want her mad at me!! You’re a wonderful friend in so many ways, and I want you to know I’m thankful every day. Stop in and visit with me a spell, the door is always open and an extra perch just waiting on you my friend. Hi Shakesphere Mom knows how bad your mom feels but your dad will be back before long. My dad used to travel for work too and mom worked but did miss him alot when he was gone. Now he is retired and she wishes she could send him again hihihi. I will tell Chi chi you said happy birthday to her and she will be very happy too. Tomorrow is my Fister Chi chi 7th hatch day and it sure would make her happy to have everyone come by and wish her a happy bird day. Could you do that for me my friend? She is green peach face lovebird named Chi chi if you look under the profiles you will see the little girl there and she has the same picture I do in the wreath. Thanks so much. The best and most beautiful things cannot be seen or even touched they must be felt with the heart and you my friend are definitely felt with my heart. Hi Shakesphere I am only 1 yr old and was in August and it is my fister Chi chi who is the love bird that will be 7 this month. hihihi. You know if she had this perch and twirly thing she would go right to it!! That girl is scared of nothing! She is little but what a pistol she is and sure not like me or you in being scared. There extra perch I have here for you is one I have used before although the heated one is here too if you want to try it. Mom gave me a bath today and blow dried me too and I really enjoy that. Skin sis and family took their daughter to 7 springs to ski for her first time. After a few lessons she did really well. She claimed she wasn’t thirsty or hungry but did both with much gusto. When it was time to go home 7 hours later she said she wasn’t tired but 2 minutes in the car and she was fast asleep hihihi. Of all the gifts life could send, the best is knowing you’re my friend. Hi Shakesphere We were up late last night welcoming the New Year in. I kept sitting on skin sis hubbys shoulder and would give him kiss and make a smacking noise with it and then tell him I love him hihihi. After everyone left I went in and sat on that new perch …till I realized it and jumped off it and got on another one in my cage and slept on it all night instead. I stay away from that new perch and make sure I don’t step on it by accident cause them new things scare me and I am scared of it!! Mom thinks in time I will accept it but I think she is just dreaming hihihi. Of all the gifts life could send, the best is knowing you’re my friend. Hi Shakesphere Thank you for the warm welcome to your house. Mom ordered me a new thermo perch and it came today. She put it in my cage but you know how I am so might not ever go in that cage again. Hihihi. Mom is hoping I settle down and check it out before night time at least. She says it will feel good on my feet since they are always so cold and I sit with one foot up in my feathers.Hope you have a very happy new Years tonight.
