 That is almost a novel story!
I saw him a year after my 1st cockatoo Romeo ( a lesser too) had passed away.
I had Sun Bear with me and when I saw Angel he made the same unusual sound that Romeo did. I had never heard any other bird do the noise and I began to cry.
He was in a pet store, he was already named and then they told me he was a girl. I just knew he was a male.
I saw him 3 times, and just could not afford him at the time....My mom insisted I get Angel and the day I went to get him, he had been sold that same day and was gone!. A few years later I met a couple in another part of the state and became friends with them. One day my friend told me she was going to rescue a bird in the same town that I had saw the bird years earlier. She told me about this bird's habit of hiding things. Well, it turned out to be ANGEL.
She had him, but her and her husband were involved in a serious car accident and they had to decrease number of birds they had, and offered me Angel. It took 7 years and alot of unusual circumstances, but I finally got Angel!. |

What a story! And what's best is you got to get the person who wanted you all along! My mom got me because my old mom had to thin out her flock due to health also. Mom's father bought me and when he treated me badly I made him give me to mom who was was living/taking care of him. I still give dad a hard time too. And we don't live with mushface (I thought that up by myself!) any more.
