 My mom and her human son were at a bird expo north of Tampa on St. Patrick's Day, 2001. I was pacing back and forth in a very small travel cage, hoping someone would see me and want to take me home. My container was in the back of the vendor's booth, but they still saw me, and asked a few questions. They said they liked my long eyelashes but they walked away, and I thouhgt I would never see them again. At the end of the day, they both showed up again, and I saw money being exchanged. I was very happy, but they didn't take me home. They didn't have a cage for me at their house, because they never lived with a bird, of any kind before. Two days later, they came to pick me up, and take me to my new forever home. It was a learning experience for all, the next 3 months, but they did all the right things to make me happy, content, and loved. The vet said they were very lucky to find such a good and healthy second hand bird. My past is my secret, and I'm not even telling my age. They knew from my leg band that I was wild caught in Central America, and came to the US through California. Now I live here in Wisconsin with my forever family. I love them all, but my mom is my favorite.. |

 Top of cage when it is open, or on my mom's shoulder
 Children yelling, bouncing, screaming, crying.....
 She sings and dances with me, and she gives me good toys and treats
 When my mom leaves the room, and I KNOW she is still around, I call to her---"Echo, Come here".
 Whatever is in a 4 foot radius of my cage, is mine!!!.

Hi Echo~
How's everything going? Nothing exciting around here. I've been watching the gardeners mow the lawns! It smells really good and it's always fun to watch them!
It's been nice here for a few weeks and I am amazed at all the sunshine! We are not use to this!hehehehehe
We start playing baseball on Monday so it will be great to be able to spend some time with you!!

Hi Echo, we got practice today-coach Jenny Lynn
...today I am calling our last pre-season practice and workout before opening day, and it will be at Kevlar Field! We are a good team, but there are a lot of good teams this year, and the only way we can get a step up on them, is to practice hard! We all need it, myself included! There will be Gator Ade and high energy snacks in our dugout! Hope to see you all there...

Echo buddy, time for BB Practice-from coach Jenny
Alfie, Sugar, and I are calling a Raider's light work out and practice at the BB field, for Thursday and Friday, between 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM! We'll run some laps, do some jumping jacks, squats, and sit-ups, and other light stretching exercises and when you are warmed up, find somebody to play catch with! Although this is an informal practice session, I want you all to take it seriously, I want to be able to count on you during long grueling games! Please come join us if you can make it...BRING YOUR GLOVES...
