 I had a green Indian Ringneck that passed away, and he was such a sweetie my mom and I decided we needed another. We got Mardi when he was 19 days old and hand raised him into the blue cutie he is today!. |

Hi! My name is Mardi
I am an Indian Ring-Necked Parakeet from Memphis, TN.
 Mardi-kins, M-kins, Blue boy, Blue dude, Mardicita

 Indian Ring-Necked Parakeet
He has to eat breakfast with me every morning or he is cranky: he eats cereal, ANY kind, and also has a few sips of coffee. Anything sweet without chocolate he will kill you for, crackers...
 On his "snuggly" toy where he sleeps, on a shoulder, on a couch pillow, the rim of a cup of coffee or a cereal bowl
 Walking by his cage without acknowledging him, not giving him some of the food you are eating, after a certain point he gets a little tired of being petted...
 She gives me ALMOST all of the food I want, she gives me lots of kisses and snuggles, and she takes me out for midnight visits because she misses me so much when I'm asleep!
 Taking a bath EVERY morning in his freshly changed water bowl, making "soup" all day long by placing pieces of his food in his water bowl to soften, licking other peoples lips....

My black ring came in first - probably about your age to a year old, slowly i got peach colored feathers on neck which eventually turned to pink and also have a blue hue surrounding the pink ring. Ring was very filled in and clear by 2 - 2 1/2 years. Over the years, i played lots of tricks on my parents, when i was born i was the nicest out of three in the store when my mommy and daddy got me and when i got home i used to bite them badly. I spent a lot of time bluffing (IRN behaviorally testing you), my mommy learned to click train with me, offer me choices and see my body language before i did bad things and now i am better bird. Looking for an IRN friend, its me junior and i think you are very nice looking. I like breakfast (daddy make good cereal slop) and lunch and dinner, he he!
