sexually dimorphic derbyans
as I'm sure you know females also have a band of brownish feathering around the ear coverts so there are a couple of ways to tell males and females apart without DNA sexing. But I'm sure I'm a boy.Come visit me, Indira & Buddha.

hello stevie.
you sure are pretty. i can't wait to meet the rest of your mommy's flock---especially the hawkhead. my mother is a breeder, but she does not have hawkheads, major mitchells, black palms, & a few assorted other type birds. i am very interested in learning more about birds of all variety. my mother does have red front
macaws, & they are wonderful birds; very intelligent
& they have a sense of humor not found on too many

Did you know that Derbyans are dimorphic. That means that boys and girls look different. My girlfriend looks like me, but she has a black beak because she is a girl. We are the largest in the parakeet family.
