Update on the fister
Well, I'm not too sure about this fister ... she whistles allllll kinds of sounds and makes these really strange noices too! I think she's funny and I laugh at all those noices. She hasn't been real nice to my mom though and has bit her a few times ... she bites harder than I do ... course I don't really bit (much) I just need to hang on sometime cause of my bum leg and sometimes I get a little bit scared and squeeze with my beak a little harder than I mean to! (hee-hee)
Guess what happened? I lost a toe!! It just fell off!! Didn't hurt me a bit, but it sure freaked out mom and dad. It was on my bum leg and was all twisted and off to the side ... I didn't use it anyway. So, I guess I won't miss it .. hee-hee

New Fister ...
My new fister arrived today. She's "interesting" and makes lots of strange noises. Gurgles and pops and she even burps! Ha-ha. Mom and Dad moved me into a new cage last night. It's smaller than my old cage, but has all my same stuff in it. And, it's in the same exact place, so I guess that's okay. The new fister got moved into my old cage - which is bigger, cause she's a bigger birdie than me. Mom and Dad were worried that I would be upset about getting moved AND getting a new fister, but I slept just fine last night and I can climb around in my new cage just as well as the old one.
Mom is waiting for dad to take some pictures of Kay-Kay and then she'll make her - her own page, just like mine!

HI! I'm doing really well. My toe is allllll healed up and looks just like new! Hee-Hee ... My gave me peanutbutter toast this morning and I got peanutbutter alllll over my beak, LOL. Mom laughed and laughed! I'm waiting to hear when this new fister is supposed to come ... maybe this weekend.

Yes ... mom and dad told me that I'm still going to have a fister. An African Grey, named Kay-Kay. I guess it will be next week sometime. Mom and Dad put together a new cage for her ... it's smaller than mine. I heard them talking about whether or not to move me into the new cage ... I'm not sure if I want to move. I'm real comfortable in my cage ... umph!

My toe is much better. I had to get poked again under my wing and they took more blood to make sure I was all better from my sickness. And the birdie vet called my mommy and said those blood test were all good and I'm all better now ... yeah!!

Hi
My mom told me that I had a new message on my blog ... my toe is still getting better. The skin hasn't grown back over it yet, but the bruise is going away slowly. Mom says I have to go back to birdie doctor next week for more blood tests (yuk!) to make sure I'm all well from my sickness. Then I guess a week or so after that, my new roommate will be coming to live here. Mom has been reading all kinds of books and showing me pictures of what this new fister looks like. I really don't care, but she better not take over my house! That's all I have to say about it! Hurmph!
Anyway, thanks for coming by and checking on my mom and my toe! :-)
