I remember each and all of you who have honored me today with your votes to get me here, and to congratulate me, and it has made Mom happy

  Queen Lucky, Queen for a Day part two.
the grounds. Which would you like to see first?” “Oooo, let’s see the grounds.”
King Duty summoned his royal carriage and horsemen and we were off to see the grounds and the surrounding woods. I was in awe at the beauty of the countryside. As we passed through all the small villages, the birdies stood and cheered and threw flowers. It was amazing.
We stopped and had a lovely lunch of fresh fruit by a little lake and then it was time to head back to the castle. King Duty said that he wanted me to see the royal observatory that Popeye had build when she was BOTW. So, back to the castle, we went.

After taking Popeye’s Holographic tour of the castle (except for dungeon) and spending a few hours at the observatory, I was led to my chambers to get ready for dinner with King Duty.
Words cannot describe the feast that was served to us. Think of the most wonderful meal you have ever had and multiply it by one million. That will only begin to describe the feast. I was so full that I could hardly move but King Duty told me that I had to return to my chambers to get ready to the ceremony at midnight. I asked, “What Ceremony?” Kind Duty told me that at midnight, I would be crowning the next BOTD. Holy Cow! Me? Do that? Duty told me that my staff would help me prepare, so off to my chambers I went.
A few minutes before midnight, my staff came and escorted my to the royal meeting room, the same room I was in the night before. There before me, stood the next BOTD, Audie. I stepped up on to the platform and spoke:
“Bird of the Day Audie-Step forward”. Audie stepped forward and kneeled before me as I held the Royal Scepter and continued; “Audie, this scepter represents the royal honor bestowed upon you by your friends, of Bird of the Day. By royal proclamation, I, Queen Lucky, pass this Royal Scepter to you and declare you King Audie, Bird of the Day. King Audie stood up and accepted the Royal Scepter from me and I kneeled and bowed to King Audie.
There, you have my day as your Queen. But before I end my story, I would like to express my say how happy I am to have found so many wonderful friends here on the BC. This was the most wonderful day of my life and I love you all dearly.

  Queen Lucky, Queen for a Day part one.
Thank you so much, everybirdy, for voting me BOTD. I can’t believe that I earned this honor after having my new page up less than two days. What a wonderful honor you all have bestowed on me. Please excuse the copy and paste message but my poor dad’s fingers would be worn to nubs if he has to type over thirty messages. Now, let me tell you about my day.
I was awakened by a messenger from the castle, a little before midnight. Popeye was with him and told me that I must go to the castle at once. It was very important. I could not imagine what could be that important. I begged Popeye to go with me so she came along.
When we arrived at the castle I was taken to a special room and told to wait for King Louie. “King Louie? Why would I be meeting with the king?” I’ve never been to the castle before. It is the biggest most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.
Well, soon, King Louie came into the room and stood. I was brought to the front of the room and bowed to Louie. King Louie said “Rise, my queen.” WHAT?? QUEEN?? King Louie continues.
King Louie stepped forward and said; “Bird of the Day Lucky-Step forward”. What, me, Bird of the Day? How can that be? I stepped forward and kneeled before King Louie, who held the Royal Scepter and continued; “Lucky, this scepter represents the royal honor bestowed upon you by your friends, of Bird of the Day. By royal proclamation, I, King Louie, pass this Royal Scepter to you and declare you Queen Lucky, Bird of the Day. I stood up and accepted the Royal Scepter from Louie, who kneeled and bowed to me, Queen Lucky.
Well, that did it. I started to cry. Never in my life did I ever think that I would ever hold this honor and now, here I am, in the castle and I’m Queen. I’m actually Queen Lucky, Bird of the Day.
Popeye came over and gave me a big hug and said, “C’mon, I’ll take you up to your royal Chambers. “Royal Chambers? What about my cage?” Popeye said that I would be staying in the most beautiful rooms that I had ever seen.
When we got to my new home for a day, Popeye said that she could go no further, that I’d be taken very good care of. She bid me goodnight and turned and left.
I was alone in this big castle and I didn’t know anyone here. I started to cry again when this very gentle green budgie came up to me. He said; “I’m King Duty, Bird of the Month. Don’t be afraid, I’ll show you in. Wow, another king.
King Duty took me into my chambers and showed me where everything was and showed me how to summon my staff. He then said goodnight and as he was leaving, one of my staff members came in and helped me get ready for bed. I went to sleep for the night.
I awoke to the sound of a gentle knock at my door. “Your majesty, it’s time for breakfast”. I hurried and got ready and was escorted to the royal dining room where I was served the most wonderful breakfast I had ever seen. Then I met with my escort for the day, King Duty, himself. He said, “It would be my pleasure to escort your majesty around the castle and

  Hello once again...
Sunny here with an update from our home. It has been a very rough week for all of us. Mom cries a lot still. She tries to cover it up but I know. I can feel her sadness and hear her heart breaking. I have also been lost without my little buddy around. I don't feel like chirping, eating or playing. I refuse to go to Comet's cage but I also look for him in there. I have been holding tight to mom. I know she is hurting just as much as I am right now. Together, we will help each other. Mom is helping me learn how to be a single bird for the first time in my thirteen year life. Mom also wanted me to thank everyone for their prayers, well wishes, blogs, emails, flowers and cards. She doesn't know what she would do without all the support she has gotten. It is hard for mom to go on Comet's page and read all the blogs from the past six days. In time, she will be able to read all of them but just not yet. She would like to thank YOU for being there at this most devastating time in our lives. Comet was not just a cockatiel, he was a legend. A real clown, mom's 'problem child', the leader of the flock and the most loving bird ever. He will be missed but never forgotten.

Friends in feathers forever,
Sunny & Barbara, my mom

Come visit me, Sunny & Comet, dearest Comet....

  Good morning, Chyloe!
Sunny here with Comet's daily update. The little grey dude is doing better this morning!! Mom spoke with the his doctor on the phone yesterday afternoon and he changed his laxative medicine from 0.1 ml 2x daily to .05 ml 3x daily. That has cut down on the diarrhea a lot! Mom thinks it is even making him feel better. When you have diarrhea, you really feel poopy, mom says! Okay, okay...pardon the pun! Comet's weight is back down to high normal and that has really improved his breathing! He read the newspaper with dad this morning and even had some breakfast with him! Right now, he is a little tuckered out and is napping in front of the window, basking in the sunshine! As for me, I miss little grey frother's mischief! Boy, can he get into trouble!! Well, I am off and flying with this news to all our BC friends. Thanks for keeping Comet in your prayers. It is really working! Oh, and thanks for the words of support and encouragement you leave on Comet's page. It is a great comfort to us. We hope all is well and happy around your cage this morning! V4U

Forever in feathers, always a friend,
Sunny...Comet's loyal and very beautiful secretary

Come visit me, Sunny & Comet, dearest Comet....

  `Ü´ SO-oo-oo … It would seem …
… that most everybirdy would like to SEE the sketch that Rio Feather Duster drew of Ruby Francesca Begonia in the sitting room of Suite B-52/56 aboard Titanic. ~~ Well, after a great deal of urging, plying, pressuring, promoting, cajoling, coaxing, beseeching, and finally begging, **Ruby draws in a fresh supply of air** Momma has consented to allowing Mr Rio’s work of art to be posted on my page. H-o-w-e-v-e-r … you will need to take the journey to the very bottom of the page to view his masterpiece, in my Photo Gallery there. (Momma seems to think that it may take some time, if indeed ever, before Daddy will find it there!) ~~ I have been having the time of my life aboard Titanic, meeting Mr Rio Feather Duster, finding true love and romance, and simply being together with him for oodles of time! Although, to be truthful Miss Chyloe, by now I can barely wait until our adventure is concluded and I may return home, to my very own page, and notes from my very own featheriends, so I can get back to visiting with each and every one parrotsonally! But that will have to wait, for a short time yet anyway. Even I-I-I do not know where this adventure will lead. Only ‘The Momma’ knows for sure! ~~ Remember, if you have not experienced the entire adventure with us as it has unfolded (or if you desire to relive any portion of it), Momma has typed instructions in the area of my page where “My motto:” is, to direct you to the BirdChannel Forums, where she has also posted each chapter of the story we have already lived through. ~~ I can now promise you though that the end of this adventure will be only a beginning for My Mr Rio ® and I. You may need to forgive us however, if we do not include y’all as intimately as we have thus far in our continuing adventures! I will take my leave for today then, Miss Chyloe, depositing a Vote of Gratitude for your company on this adventure. And I shall be ‘round again soon with the concluding chapters. Toutes alors, mon amie [Until then, My Featheriend] ...`Ü´ ♥’s ®

Come visit me, `Ü´ Ruby Francesca Begonia.

  (~.~) A Note From `Ü´ Ruby’s Momma (~.~)
When I opened my parrontal email this morning, I found this note from Ruby’s Mr Rio’s good featheriend, Max (BirdChannel Profile Page 73887) : “Dearest Ruby's mommy, as you know Rio is and has been a great friend of mine for quite some time now and it has been with great pleasure that I have been following this adventure upon the high seas aboard the Titanic [where as you know that in spite of his devil may care vagabond lifestyle, he cleaned up quite nicely and none of the upper echelon was any the wiser that Rio does not spend most of his time hobnobbing with that elite group. He was born to be an artiste, it is engrained in his heart the same way that Ruby is, and that is what has him so concerned now. He knows what a doting mother you are re: your little girl, yet he wants to be completely honest with you and did not know how to go about it, so he approached me for help. ~~ He had me photograph him in the raw, in this case meaning "what you see is what you get". Even though he hails from quite an aristocratic family in Pa, he has chosen not to follow in their footsteps and wants to pursue that which makes him happy. So in this photograph are all the things he needs to be happy. He unloaded his rather worn and shabby suitcase [it had stickers from all parts of the world on it] so he is well traveled and proficient in some foreign languages. It is not education that he lacks, it is just that he has chosen a simple lifestyle. All items featured are what would be called his tools of the trade and he refuses to be weighed down by more than that [with the exception of an occasional change of feathers] This picture was taken before he gave Ruby that necklace "l'amour de la mer". Notice that he still is carrying it in his beak. ~~ anyway, he wanted me to approach you on his behalf so he could be reassured that in spite of what this picture shows, you would still be willing to set aside all doubts re: him and his true intentions........he asked "please-----in the name of love". He is not aware that I actually did as was asked of me and send you that picture. But as a friend I just had to do it, and I would love to be able to tell him that he has nothing to fear [that his heart will not be broken] Believe me, he has it bad. A Macaw heart is a true heart. So if you could let me or him know that all is just fine......he would be the happiest bird on Earth. He wants to share his heart as well as the world with HIS Ruby, in the name of friendship, I beg of you.............sincerely, MAX.” ~~~~

  ~~~~ In response to your intervention, Max…Dear Featheriend Max…You might be interested to know that, even aside from my doting on my Baby Girl Ruby, there is no apprehension in my soul regarding Mr Rio or his intentions toward her. These two lovely young Macaws have had my support and my blessing since meeting at the party you hosted for your own Sweet Alex last summer. Ruby’s DADDY (°.°) however…is a different matter! HE is the parront who will need to be convinced of the innocence and integrity of Rio’s intentions. I shall do my utmost to support your efforts on behalf of your featheriend. And I do thank you for caring so deeply for our two Adventurers. ~~ Sincerely, Ruby’s Momma (~.~) PS: I have posted the photo you included with your email at the bottom of Ruby’s page, amended to show the lovely poem which was a part of your message.
**** PSS: Please be reminded, Miss Chyloe, that Momma has created a Topic Blog in the BirdChannel Forums… “For all our Dearest Featheriends, if you are just joining our Titanic Adventure and would like to see how it all came about and all that has transpired since our embarking on it, or if you would like to see The Story in its entirety to the present, you may visit the BirdChannel’s ‘Bird Community’. [Link on the left of any BirdChannel page.] Once there, click on ‘Log In to the Forums’. [Next to the picture of those two lovely canaries, in the box tabbed ‘Bird Message Board’, located in the middle of the page as it comes up.] In the second box with bright green and yellow stripes at the top on that page, look for the fifth topic, ‘Pictures of Your Birds” and click on that. Look for ‘Ruby and Rio’s Titanic Adventure’. And once you click on that title…VOILA! You will find every little detail of our adventure and how it came about.”
Come visit me, `Ü´ Ruby Francesca Begonia.
  `Ü´ Greetings, Miss Chyloe!
I would very much like to welcome you to the BirdChannel. I am `Ü´ Ruby Francesca Begonia, a GRITS GirlBird [GirlBird Raised In The South]. So if there are times you have difficulty understanding my way of speaking, you may blame it on my momma! ~~ I was adopted into my flockily from a store in Charleston, South Carolina where my parronts were living at the time. Momma herself is a Midwesterner and therefore not really qualified to bring me up in the true Southern Belle tradition…but she tries! ~~ My ManBird, My Mr Rio ® (who also has a page here on the BirdChannel), and I have been on a Titanic Adventure for the past couple of weeks, “A Voyage of Love and Romance”. Might I invite you to join our Adventure in progress… ~~ Please feel free to join in the fun by visiting my page and viewing the photographs in the gallery at the bottom. I promise that, once Momma sees your name on my page, she will begin sending you each chapter of the story as it occurs. For you to find out how all of this frenzy began, Momma has typed instructions in the area of my page where “My motto:” is, to direct you to the BirdChannel Forums, where she has also posted each chapter of the story we have already lived through. ~~ To be truthful, Miss Chyloe, I can barely wait until our adventure is concluded and I may return home, to my very own page, and notes from my very own featheriends, so that I can get back to visiting with each and every one parrotsonally. But that will have to wait, for a short time yet anyway. Even I do not know where this adventure will lead. Only The Momma knows for sure! ~~ We shall be weighing anchor again very soon. Please hurry and join us aboard Titanic! Leaving you with a Vote of Anticipation. Toutes alors, mon amie…`Ü´ ♥’s ® [Until then, My Featheriend]
