From Angel Lee-Roial, for honoring me and letting me spend still another day in the Bird Channel Castle. My plans today are to spend the day doing everything my fisters and frothers would want to be doing with me. One thought came to mind – I will still be here, even though on my way out, as TiPaul enters for a month, and that in itself will be a moment to share. I remember each and all of you who have honored me today with your votes to get me here, and to congratulate me, and it has made Mom happy

Queen Lucky, Queen for a Day part two.
the grounds. Which would you like to see first?” “Oooo, let’s see the grounds.”
King Duty summoned his royal carriage and horsemen and we were off to see the grounds and the surrounding woods. I was in awe at the beauty of the countryside. As we passed through all the small villages, the birdies stood and cheered and threw flowers. It was amazing.
We stopped and had a lovely lunch of fresh fruit by a little lake and then it was time to head back to the castle. King Duty said that he wanted me to see the royal observatory that Popeye had build when she was BOTW. So, back to the castle, we went.

After taking Popeye’s Holographic tour of the castle (except for dungeon) and spending a few hours at the observatory, I was led to my chambers to get ready for dinner with King Duty.
Words cannot describe the feast that was served to us. Think of the most wonderful meal you have ever had and multiply it by one million. That will only begin to describe the feast. I was so full that I could hardly move but King Duty told me that I had to return to my chambers to get ready to the ceremony at midnight. I asked, “What Ceremony?” Kind Duty told me that at midnight, I would be crowning the next BOTD. Holy Cow! Me? Do that? Duty told me that my staff would help me prepare, so off to my chambers I went.
A few minutes before midnight, my staff came and escorted my to the royal meeting room, the same room I was in the night before. There before me, stood the next BOTD, Audie. I stepped up on to the platform and spoke:
“Bird of the Day Audie-Step forward”. Audie stepped forward and kneeled before me as I held the Royal Scepter and continued; “Audie, this scepter represents the royal honor bestowed upon you by your friends, of Bird of the Day. By royal proclamation, I, Queen Lucky, pass this Royal Scepter to you and declare you King Audie, Bird of the Day. King Audie stood up and accepted the Royal Scepter from me and I kneeled and bowed to King Audie.
There, you have my day as your Queen. But before I end my story, I would like to express my say how happy I am to have found so many wonderful friends here on the BC. This was the most wonderful day of my life and I love you all dearly.
Love,
Lucky

Queen Lucky, Queen for a Day part one.
Thank you so much, everybirdy, for voting me BOTD. I can’t believe that I earned this honor after having my new page up less than two days. What a wonderful honor you all have bestowed on me. Please excuse the copy and paste message but my poor dad’s fingers would be worn to nubs if he has to type over thirty messages. Now, let me tell you about my day.
I was awakened by a messenger from the castle, a little before midnight. Popeye was with him and told me that I must go to the castle at once. It was very important. I could not imagine what could be that important. I begged Popeye to go with me so she came along.
When we arrived at the castle I was taken to a special room and told to wait for King Louie. “King Louie? Why would I be meeting with the king?” I’ve never been to the castle before. It is the biggest most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.
Well, soon, King Louie came into the room and stood. I was brought to the front of the room and bowed to Louie. King Louie said “Rise, my queen.” WHAT?? QUEEN?? King Louie continues.
King Louie stepped forward and said; “Bird of the Day Lucky-Step forward”. What, me, Bird of the Day? How can that be? I stepped forward and kneeled before King Louie, who held the Royal Scepter and continued; “Lucky, this scepter represents the royal honor bestowed upon you by your friends, of Bird of the Day. By royal proclamation, I, King Louie, pass this Royal Scepter to you and declare you Queen Lucky, Bird of the Day. I stood up and accepted the Royal Scepter from Louie, who kneeled and bowed to me, Queen Lucky.
Well, that did it. I started to cry. Never in my life did I ever think that I would ever hold this honor and now, here I am, in the castle and I’m Queen. I’m actually Queen Lucky, Bird of the Day.
Popeye came over and gave me a big hug and said, “C’mon, I’ll take you up to your royal Chambers. “Royal Chambers? What about my cage?” Popeye said that I would be staying in the most beautiful rooms that I had ever seen.
When we got to my new home for a day, Popeye said that she could go no further, that I’d be taken very good care of. She bid me goodnight and turned and left.
I was alone in this big castle and I didn’t know anyone here. I started to cry again when this very gentle green budgie came up to me. He said; “I’m King Duty, Bird of the Month. Don’t be afraid, I’ll show you in. Wow, another king.
King Duty took me into my chambers and showed me where everything was and showed me how to summon my staff. He then said goodnight and as he was leaving, one of my staff members came in and helped me get ready for bed. I went to sleep for the night.
I awoke to the sound of a gentle knock at my door. “Your majesty, it’s time for breakfast”. I hurried and got ready and was escorted to the royal dining room where I was served the most wonderful breakfast I had ever seen. Then I met with my escort for the day, King Duty, himself. He said, “It would be my pleasure to escort your majesty around the castle and

  Hello once again...
Sunny here with an update from our home. It has been a very rough week for all of us. Mom cries a lot still. She tries to cover it up but I know. I can feel her sadness and hear her heart breaking. I have also been lost without my little buddy around. I don't feel like chirping, eating or playing. I refuse to go to Comet's cage but I also look for him in there. I have been holding tight to mom. I know she is hurting just as much as I am right now. Together, we will help each other. Mom is helping me learn how to be a single bird for the first time in my thirteen year life. Mom also wanted me to thank everyone for their prayers, well wishes, blogs, emails, flowers and cards. She doesn't know what she would do without all the support she has gotten. It is hard for mom to go on Comet's page and read all the blogs from the past six days. In time, she will be able to read all of them but just not yet. She would like to thank YOU for being there at this most devastating time in our lives. Comet was not just a cockatiel, he was a legend. A real clown, mom's 'problem child', the leader of the flock and the most loving bird ever. He will be missed but never forgotten.

Friends in feathers forever,
Sunny & Barbara, my mom

Come visit me, Sunny & Comet, dearest Comet....

  Good morning, Chyloe!
Sunny here with Comet's daily update. The little grey dude is doing better this morning!! Mom spoke with the his doctor on the phone yesterday afternoon and he changed his laxative medicine from 0.1 ml 2x daily to .05 ml 3x daily. That has cut down on the diarrhea a lot! Mom thinks it is even making him feel better. When you have diarrhea, you really feel poopy, mom says! Okay, okay...pardon the pun! Comet's weight is back down to high normal and that has really improved his breathing! He read the newspaper with dad this morning and even had some breakfast with him! Right now, he is a little tuckered out and is napping in front of the window, basking in the sunshine! As for me, I miss little grey frother's mischief! Boy, can he get into trouble!! Well, I am off and flying with this news to all our BC friends. Thanks for keeping Comet in your prayers. It is really working! Oh, and thanks for the words of support and encouragement you leave on Comet's page. It is a great comfort to us. We hope all is well and happy around your cage this morning! V4U

Forever in feathers, always a friend,
Sunny...Comet's loyal and very beautiful secretary

Come visit me, Sunny & Comet, dearest Comet....
